Buckley resident John Charles Hocking, 65, died Dec. 17, 2010, in Puyallup.

He was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Seattle.

He is survived by one life partner, three sisters, four children and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of his life is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the American Legion in West Seattle, 3618 S.W. Alaska St.
