Jolene Mary Flatt died March 4, 2017, at the age of 83.

She was born Jolene Mary Koetter on July 25, 1933, in Winona, Minn., to Joseph and Gertrude Koetter. She grew up on her family’s farm in Minnesota with her sisters Marge, Carol and Judy and brothers Dave and Tom.

She met her future husband Henry at an NCO dance in Wisconsin and they were married on Feb. 11, 1956. They settled in Seattle, where they welcomed sons Kevin, Ron and Mark and daughter Lynee. She worked at Green River Community College for 20 years before retiring in 1991. She was devoted to God and her family her entire life. Her 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Services are planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Hillside Community Church in Enumclaw.
