Joyce Louise Pacific died Dec. 28, 2016, in Buckley. She was 84.

She was born April 21, 1932, in Bethlehem, Pa., to Vincent and Christine Hutchinson. She graduated from nursing school in 1953 and worked for different hospitals, doctor’s offices and dentists. She married Fred Pacific on Oct. 17, 1954, in Philadelphia, Pa., and lived in New Jersey from 1955 to 1992. After retiring she moved to Florida and then in 2012 she moved to Buckley to be near her son. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and was an avid reader.

She is survived by sons Daniel (Cathy) Pacific of Pennsauken, N.J., Robert (Janice) Pacific of Buckley, Jeffrey (Teresa) Pacific of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Gerald (Karina) Pacific of Redondo Beach, Calif.; sisters Claire (Jay) Howard and Helen (Bob) Carter, all of Bethlehem, Pa.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
