Leta Sue Bakke

Leta Sue Bakke died April 3, 2016, following a year-long battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

She was born Aug. 4, 1965, in Seattle and spent her entire life in the Northwest, most recently as a resident of Enumclaw. She worked for King County Parks for 19 years, most recently as parks district maintenance coordinator working with special needs employees. She is remembered for her gentle smile and captivating sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Dan; daughters Brianna and Erin; mother Katherine “Maxine” Bakke; brother Ted Bakke (Jane); sister Cindy Bakke; stepsisters Kim Beaver (Kevin Johnsted) and Tanya Beaver; stepmother Barbara Neilson (Bob); in-laws Gigi and Dennis Perzynski; and brother-in-law Jeff Perzynski.

She was preceded in death by father Ted Bakke.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Weeks Funeral Home in Buckley, followed by a reception and then a celebration of life at the Buckley Eagles starting at 5 p.m.
