Enumclaw resident Melanie Kay Christianson, 31, died Aug. 21, 2013.

She was born Feb. 9, 1982, in Bellevue. She graduated from Enumclaw High School in 2000 and graduated from Central Washington University in 2004 with a degree in business administration. She worked for Mutual of Enumclaw and the FAA. Her interests were in riding western horses and gaming. She was an excellent barrel racer and won saddles for her talent and she mentored others in horsemanship.

She is survived by parents Chris and Roxanne Christianson of Enumclaw and brother Torry Christianson of Federal Way.

A service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Enumclaw.
