Monica June Bajema

Monica June Bajema, 81, died April 18, 2012, after many years of coping with dementia.

She was born June 24, 1930, in Dixon, Neb., the fifth of six children born to Michael and Julia Duffy. At a young age, she moved with her family to California.

She is survived by her first husband, Alan D. Gibson; children Robin Gibson and wife Jean, Roger Gibson and wife Cindy, Vicki Gibson, Loretta Kingsolver and husband Pete, Beth Damery and Rodney Gibson and wife Lisa; stepchildren David Bajema and wife Kim, Marvin Bajema and wife Bobbie, June Thompson and husband Kevin and Leslie Potter and husband Jeff; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Clarence Bajema and brothers Frances, William and James.

A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at the home of Pete and Loretta Kingsolver, 2407 Howard Rd. in Auburn. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
