Monique Northam

Monique Northam, 75, of Buckley died Sept. 9, 2016, in Kenmore, Wash.

She was born Jan. 6, 1941 in Epagne, France, to Georges and Madeleine Mathaux. She worked for 35 years at the Rainier State School and caring for the developmentally disabled was her passion. An accomplishment that she was really proud of was becoming an American citizen. She loved music and in her younger years enjoyed playing the accordion. Hobbies included gardening, growing vegetables and music. She loved to spend time having coffee with her friends and, above all, she enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters Veronique Mathaux (Teresa Glasco) of West Virginia and Brigitte Benson (Bryan) of Kenmore; sons John Northam (Christi) of Michigan and Michael Northam (Rachel) of Carbonado; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
