Norma Jean Farris died Oct. 15, 2018, at the age of 83.

Norma Jean Farris died Oct. 15, 2018, at the age of 83.

She was born Oct. 31, 1934, in Galena, Missouri, to the late Carl and Bernice Eutsler. Her family relocated to Pomona, California, when she was young. She graduated from Pomona High School in 1953 and later in life earned an associate’s degree in early childhood development. She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Farris, in 1954, and they lived in the Pomona area until moving to Washington in 1991 to be near family. They moved to Enumclaw in 2006.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her sense of humor and sassy personality and her faith.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don; siblings Hershel “Bud” Eutsler (Ida) of Toledo, Washington, Carlyne Farris of Mountain Home, Arizona, and Carl “Lucky” Eutsler (Alice) of Buena Park, California; children Lisa Williams (Jeffery), Lori Farris and Mike Farris, all of Enumclaw; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua.

A celebration of her life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Mountain Villa Estates Clubhouse, 1099 Mountain Villa Dr., Enumclaw, 98022.
