Paul Frederic Paterson of Auburn died Sept. 13, 2016. He was 59.

He was born Aug. 15, 1957, in Enumclaw to Wallace and Minnie Paterson. He was self-employed for many years as a contractor and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, hunting and fishing and spending time around Mount Rainier, Greenwater and Lake Eleanor.

He is survived by daughter Danielle Paterson; father Wally Paterson; sisters Judy Johnson (Barbara Austin) of Arkansas and Janette Edwards (Ron) of Auburn; brothers Tom Paterson (Virginia) of Hawaii and Steve Paterson (Alta) of Marysville, Wash.; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his mother.
