Rachel Smith, 35, died Jan. 30, 2017, following a five-year battle with heart complications.

She was born Nov. 16, 1981, in Renton and was raised in Enumclaw on her grandmother’s farm.

She is survived by daughter Leah McGowan, husband Sean Smith, father Dale Smith, mother Laura Gordon and sister Gretchen Smith, all of Enumclaw. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Smith, in 1994.

A celebration of her life and potluck are planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at the Enumclaw VFW hall.
