Sereta Walsh died Aug. 5, 2023, at the age of 83

Sereta Ann Walsh, 83, of Enumclaw Wa, passed away on August 5th comfortably at her home alongside family members to hold and care for her in her final moments before passing to join her family in heaven.

Sereta’s Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am, August 18th, 2023, at Weeks Funeral home, 1810 Wells St. Enumclaw, WA 98022. Graveside Services will be held at 1 pm. August 25th at the West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd, Yakima, WA 98908. Te Life Celebration and Arrangements are being arranged by family members and close friends with the support of Weeks Funeral Home.

Sereta was born in Yakima, WA to Rex and Aldine Jones on April 25th, 1940. She was the 2nd of 3 children and was raised in Yakima where she attended A C Davis Senior High School. Sereta found the love of her life and forever partner, James F. Walsh. They were married on August 5th, 1958.

During her life, one of Sereta’s favorite workplaces, while her children were growing up, was Brenner Brothers Bakery. She spent many years there and shared her love of Bagels & pastries with her children. She later started her own Beauty Salon business “Classic Nails and Hair”. She spent many years with Jim as her partner, aka handy man, running her salons. Her passion of looking great, and being classy, always showed though in everything she did. She absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sereta had a positive impact on everyone around her, including her entire family, close friends, and all those she loved.

Sereta is survived by her husband of 65 years, James F. Walsh, Her children Jackie, Vance and Rod and their wives, Darci and Melody. She also leaves family members, nieces Denise and Chris and nephews David, Jimmy, and Todd.

She was preceded in death by her Parents along with her brother Larry and Sister Lajune. Sereta leaves an amazing family legacy of her 3 children, 7 Grandchildren, 10 great-Grandchildren.
