Wanda McArthur

Wanda Lorraine McArthur died June 10, 2023, at the age of 66.

Wanda Lorraine McArthur fought a long battle with cancer, then was called home, while surrounded by her husband and children on June 10th, 2023. She was born August 11th, 1956 in Gooding, Idaho. During a difficult time in her life Wanda was raised by her loving foster parents Bob and Joanne Brown near Sandpoint, Idaho. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1976; volunteered with the Teens Organization for Disabled Children; received a 2-year college degree in Spokane, Washington; and went on to Graduate from Respiratory Therapy school in Phoenix, Arizona, where she began her career as a Respiratory Therapist.

Wanda recently retired after 40 years of dedicated service in her field of work.

Wanda was married to her devoted husband Bruce and they shared 44 wonderful years together. During that time, she enjoyed her roles as wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

Wanda was a long-time resident of Enumclaw, WA since 1984 and a faithful member of Plateau Community Church. She was an exceptionally talented artist and everyone loved her work.

Wanda happily shared her variety of talents when teaching and interacting with others. Her devotion to her family and her love of the Lord was reflected by a lifetime of active service to the community, together with a lifetime of quiet and unseen acts of kindness and service to others.

Wanda will be remembered for her efforts to make her home a refuge for her family and friends. Wanda was always putting our children’s needs ahead of our own. She will also be remembered as an advocate and protector for all who were close to her, along with others who needed a champion. Her legacy is one of unending service for others, and endless love for her faith and family. She’s rearranging the clouds because she liked things her way.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother Pearl J. Simms; father Leo Crider; brother Leo M. Crider; sister Leah Crider; brother Kenny Jones; and granddaughter Danica Grace Bell. She is survived by her husband Bruce McArthur; brothers Harold Duane Jones and Tracy Jones; 3 children: Joseph McArthur, Ashley Bell and Shawn McArthur; 3 grandsons: Logan, Nathan and David; 4 granddaughters: Riley, Lillian, Willow and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews.
