Bonney Lake’s undefeated fastpitch squad was able to get in just one contest last week, but it was a clutch 11-7 victory over South Puget Sound League 3A opponent Auburn Mountainview on the road.

In the wet and wild affair that featured 23 hits and seven errors, it was the five miscues committed by the home team that could very well have spelled the Lions’ demise.

Bonney Lake played pinball with a porous Lion infield, racking up a dozen hits. While Bonney Lake’s Michaela Blad and Taylor Watkins both went 2-for-3 at the plate, Kali Patterson had a memorable day as well, going 3-for-4 and smashing a three-run homer in the top of the sixth frame.

The victory pushed Bonney Lake’s overall mark to an unblemished 6-0 and 2-0 in SPSL 3A action.
