Bonney Lake tennis continues winning ways

The Bonney Lake High girls tennis team continued its winning ways, notching a victory over Lakes 3-2 and picking up a second victory when Clover Park was forced to forfeit due to a lack of players.

Following the April 21 forfeit, the Panthers hosted Lakes Thursday and got good showings from their top players.

In singles, Ashley Reisen beat Sarah Steinig 6-2, 6-2, playing what coach Billy Jacobsen said was her bast match of the season.

In doubles play, Emily and Alise McCoy continued their push to the postseason with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

The second doubles team of Jessica Roller and Katie Barrie also won, 6-2, 6-4.

In other action, Olivia Ottinger fell 1-6, 4-6 and Kelsey Kober and Molly Miculinich lost a tough one 6-2, 4-6, 6-7.
