The Bonney Lake 200 medley relay qualified for district after posting a time of 1 minute, 58.56 seconds in a meet against Sumner Jan. 26 at the Sumner Pool.
The Panthers won the regular season finale against their inter-district rivals, 114-70.
Cody Steiert, Zach Pettit, Jake Gould and Eben Sarver won the 200 medley. The Panthers also finished second and third in the event.
Bonney Lake also placed second in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
“Our boys were excited and ready to swim,” said Panther head coach Jay Paulson. “It showed from the very first event and set the tone for the rest of the meet and gave our boys the confidence to do what our previous Bonney Lake swim teams had not been able to do.”
Steiert set a new school record by winning the 200 intermediate in 2:26.97. Nathan Karboski and Andrew Allen finished third and fourth in the event.
Gould, Pettit and Sarver were first, second and third, respectively in the 50 freestyle. Steiert, Nathan Scott and Allens were also finished 1-2-3 in the 500 freestyle race.
In the 100 freestyle, Gould and Sarver took second and third, respectively.
In the 100 backstroke, Zach Bordelon, Steven Brown and Zach Goodsell finished 1-2-3.
Nathan Scott and Laiton Wood were second and fourth, respectively, in the 200 freestyle, while Bordelon and Jonah Howard were second and fourth in the 100 butterfly.
Tim Eckhart won the diving event, while Josiah Harton was third.
Pettit finished third in the 100 breaststroke.
The Panthers will compete in the subdistrict meet Jan. 29-30 at Auburn High School. District is Feb. 12-13 at Hazen with the state meet set Feb. 19-20 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
