The Bonney Lake-Sumner Little League put a footnote on its 2012 regular season by celebrating the family aspect of the sport with a Father-Son playoff.

The exhibition game, held at the Daffodil Valley Sport Complex in Sumner, joined 14-year-old players with their dads, many of whom are long-time volunteers in the Little League sports program.

Little League is now in its postseason All Stars phase. The league held its final tryouts, for 11- and 12-year-old players, over the weekend at Lakeridge Middle School.

The All Stars tournament is right around the corner. The postseason for all of Little League ends in two months, with the Little League World Series.
