Bonney Lake’s Tracy Hare and Sumner High’s Rebecca Turcotte were expected to tee off in the Class 3A state girls golf championship Tuesday at Horn Rapids Golf Club in Richland, Wash.

State play continues today, Wednesday.

Hare was one of the top nine players from the West Central District’s state-qualifying tournament in October. Turcotte earned her way in with a 13th-place finish May 17 at Eagles Pride Golf Course at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Bonney Lake’s Megan Charron and Sumner’s Karleigh Warner also played in the spring state-qualifying tournament and will serve as first and second alternates. Warner is no stranger to the alternate position. She was the second alternate for the May 17 playoff after play in the fall.
