Enumclaw’s Lucarelli earns most Valuable Player honor

The Enumclaw High Hornets headed the list when South Puget Sound League 3A baseball honors were passed out.

Junior infielder Michael Lucarelli was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and Eric Fiedler picked up Coach of the Year accolades.

Fifteen other players from Enumclaw and White River high schools were included on the all-league roster.

First team

Enumclaw: Kyle Baumgartner and Kyle Thomson, both juniors, outfield; Marcus Madden, junior, designated hitter.

White River: Connor Williams, senior, shortstop; Dustin Stroud, senior, third base; Payden Cawley-Lamb, senior, outfield.

Second team

Enumclaw: Casey Clare, senior, pitcher; Grant Hathaway, senior, catcher; Cody Hughes, junior, first base; Kailen Bickler, senior, middle infield; Eric Koenig, junior, third base.

White River: Michael Anastasi, senior, middle infield; Kaden Pugmire, junior, designated hitter.

Honorable mention

Enumclaw: Tyler Carlson, sophomore.

White River: Tyson Erickson, senior; Daniel Smith, senior.
