Three of the five Junior Hornets teams were victorious Saturday at Pete’s Pool. The Hornets were filling a bye week with competition from Tacoma, Orting, East Wenatchee and Eastside Christian from Bellevue.
The fourth-grade team slammed the Norwest Rams 32-12, while the fifth- and sixth-grade teams both shut out Orting teams 42-0 and 33-0, respectively. The seventh- and eighth-grade teams battled hard, but lost against two different teams from different football organizations.
The Hornets have two more games on their regular-season card. The last home games are scheduled for Saturday against the Harpers Angels, then it’s on the road with the Lancers Orange Oct. 24. For information, log on to www.jrhornetsfootball.com.
