The Enumclaw High boy’s basketball squad outscored its duo of South Puget Sound League 3A opponents Bonney Lake and Sumner last week by a whopping imbalance of 135 to 60 and, in doing so, elevated its league mark to 9-1 to become the top dog in the SPSL 3A standings and keep its spot among the premiere Class 3A squads in the state.
The White River High girls kept their perfect season intact last weekend, notching a Friday night victory over Clover Park and a Saturday win against Auburn Mountainview.
Victories keep mounting for the Bonney Lake High girls, with three more during the past week stretching the winning streak to six.

Schwartz earns top spot with Falcons
The White River boys basketball squad spent another week doggedly hanging in there and trying to jockey its way up the South Puget Sound League 3A standings, but faced adversity as it lost two out of three contests.
The White River High wrestling team chalked another match in the win column with a 45-35 victory over Franklin Pierce Jan. 14 that could have gone either way.
The Sumner Spartans competed against Clover Park Jan. 13, putting up district times in several events en route to a 147-37 team victory.

After another disappointing week of South Puget Sound League 3A dual meet wrestling action, falling to Peninsula High on Jan. 14, the Sumner High Spartans were well represented at the Willie C. Stewart Invitational Saturday at Foss High in Tacoma.
