The Bonney Lake Panthers rallied from a first-quarter deficit to take a 43-41 South Puget Sound League 3A win over the Auburn Mountainview Lions in Auburn Jan. 26.

Marcel Pounds hit 13 points and Rani Wiegand netted 12 for the Panthers, while Brittany Kennedy added eight for the Panthers.

The Lions took a 18-9 lead and went into halftime ahead, 24-17. But Bonney Lake outscored the Lions, 17-10, in the third for a 34-34 tie to start the final period.

Three players scored in double figures as the Bonney Lake Panthers posted a hard-fought 58-53 South Puget Sound League 3A win over the Auburn Mountainview Lions at home Jan. 26.

Nathan Braun led the Panthers with 13 points, Riley Baltazar hit 12 and Hunter Colgrove added 11.

The Panthers jumped out to a 14-11 lead, but the Lion managed to stay within striking distance. Bonney Lake went into the final period with a 38-33 advantage.
