SHS SWIMMING: Spartans paddle past Steilacoom

District and state qualifying times abounded on Sumner’s side of the scoresheet.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Alicia Ditty, Ashley Huynh, Madison Munger and Sami Hendricks qualified for state competition with a time of 2 minutes, .96 seconds.

In the 200 freestyle, Munger and Kallan Gustafson took the top two spots with times of 2:11.19 and 2:16.46.

Hendricks, Erica Martin and Ditty took the top three spots of the 50 freestyle and Ditty and Huynh took the top two spots in the 100 butterfly.

Ditty, Alejandra Castro, McKenna Roberts and Gustafson took first place in the 400 free relay with a time of 4:30.46.

The Spartans are scheduled to swim at Clover Park Thursday.
