The Sumner High School girls volleyball team swept up the White River Hornets 3-0 Monday night.

Match scores were 27-25, 25-18, and 25-17.

Karissa Smith smacked 12 kills into Hornet territory, and Cassidy Sargent blocked four Hornet attempts to gain a point on the Spartans. Brittany Smith racked up 28 assists to point-scoring teammates.

The Spartans are scheduled to take on Clover Park Wednesday in the SHS gym.
