Sumner’s baseball team defeated the Washington Patriots 12-2 in a Monday afternoon away game, earning them a 2-0 record so far in the South Puget Sound League 2A conference.

The game’s stat breakdown was not available in full Tuesday afternoon, but the Spartans earned their 12 runs with seven hits at bat.

Luc Powers-Hubbard made three runs to home plate after going to bat.
