It was 6-1 Auburn Mt. View vs 6-1 Sumner for the top spot in the 3A SPSL.

It was 6-1 Auburn Mt. View vs 6-1 Sumner for the top spot in the 3A SPSL.

Going into this game Sumner is currently ranked as the number one defense is both 3A and 4A, only conceding an average 0.2 goals a game.

At the end of the 1st half it was 0-0 and with 1 good shot and great save by Jamie Lange. At the end of the 2nd half the score was still 0-0 with no solid shots by either team.  Going into the 1st overtime Sumner made some defensive and offensive line up moves to help in the scoring area, but after the 1st OT the score was still 0-0.

In the 2nd OT, with about 2 minutes left Sumner was fouled on the 20, they took the free kick but was cleared out by a Mt. View player straight to a Sumner player where Sumner was fouled again, but this time it was just outside the left side of the box.

Alyssa Murray set up for the free kick and shot. The ball hit off the keeper right to the feet of Rachel Stowell who made quick move and kicked the ball in to win the game with about 1 minute left in OT.
