Sumner Soccer: Spartans get boot from postseason after loss to Port Angeles

The Spartans lost 1-0 to Port Angeles High School in the teams’ sub-district match-up. Port Angeles took fourth seed among the five winners.

Sumner High’s soccer team was knocked out of the postseason on Saturday.

The Spartans lost 1-0 to Port Angeles High School in the teams’ sub-district match-up. Port Angeles took fourth seed among the five winners.

The Spartans weredefeated by Franklin Pierce at the latter school’s campus Friday night.

Kelly Ayers and Bailey Proulx shot unassisted goals at the 41-minute and 79-minute marks, respectively.

The Enumclaw High boys soccer team ended its regular season Friday night by hosting Clover Park. EHS used a pair of goals by Landon Breidenbach to hold a 2-1 lead into the game’s final stages.
