The White River girls spoiled Senior Night at Sumner High School with a 3-1 South Puget Sound League win.

The White River girls spoiled Senior Night at Sumner High School with a 3-1 South Puget Sound League win Oct. 21 in Sumner.

White River took the first game, 25-22, but Sumner rallied back for a 25-19 win in the second game.

The Hornets, behind Kelsi Tyler’s 28 kills, won the final two games, 25-23 and 25-16.

For Sumner, Sidney Erickson had 18 kills and Kailey Smith recorded 31 assists. Jessica Vandergiessen added six kills.

It was the final home game for Sumner seniors Lisbet Fernandez, Kayla Roberts, Smith, Vandergiessen and Erickson.

The Spartans face Bonney Lake Oct. 26 on the road for the final regular season game.
