Yesterday morning Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17 year old male junior at Rogers High School for a series of clown-related threats that resulted in the school being placed into a modified lockdown during lunch yesterday. The suspect is being booked into Remann Hall on three counts of Felony Harassment and one count of False Reporting.
The Sumner boys tennis team has a lot to live up to this year, having topped the SPSL 3A league charts last year. Yesterday the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Elder Abuse Unit accepted guilty pleas from Jessica Sellers, 37, for eight counts of theft from a vulnerable adult. Sellers stole more than $82,000.00 from her husband’s elderly grandfather who has dementia.

The Bonney Lake girl’s soccer team charged head first into the fall season with a young team in a new league with much success. The team stands now with a 5-1-1 league record after two shutout games against Spanaway Lake and Lakes high schools.
