WRHS’ Hornets looking to improve on last year’s performance

Starting QB this year will be Jacob Rennaker.

The White River varsity squad won five straight games in San Diego to take the tournament championship. The SPSL 2A fastpitch season is now in the books, with postseason play set to begin begin this week. Plateau rivals Enumclaw High and White River met twice last week, on May 11 at the Boise Creek Sixplex and two days later on the White River campus. The squad has a busy week if the weather allows, hosting the Franklin Pierce Cardinals today (Wednesday) and traveling to Fife for a Thursday game against the Trojans before Friday's Battle of the Bridge showdown against Enumclaw. Friday's contest for Plateau bragging rights will be played at White River beginning at 4 p.m.
