It's spring break at Enumclaw High, so the Hornet track and field program is taking a week off from competition, preparing to host Auburn Riverside on Thursday, April 24. Among those who have been counted on to provide EHS with team points (shown here during an early-April meet) are distance runner Ellis Behrens and hurdler Isabella Pohlman.

White River sophomore Cydnee Chapin put together an impressive string of victories during the early part of the prep tennis season, playing in the No. 1 singles slot for the Hornets. Success is nothing new for Chapin, who went undefeated in league play last year, swept the league tournament, placed third in the district tourney and capped her freshman season with a sixth-place finish at the Class 2A state tournament. Her winning ways have followed White River’s jump to the Class 3A ranks and membership in the North Puget Sound League
