Sewer line upgrade expected to slow Elhi Hill traffic for three weeks

The single lane on westbound state Route 410 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 24 to Sept. 26. Then there will be nighttime closures of the lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 26 to Oct. 12.

Drivers in Bonney Lake should prepare for backups at the top of Elhi Hill for the next three weeks as crews upgrade a sewer trunk line.

Work begins Monday and will require a single lane closure during non-rush hour periods for up to three weeks on the westbound side of the highway.

The work is expected to last three weeks.

The single lane on westbound state Route 410 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 24 to Sept. 26. Then there will be nighttime closures of the lane from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 26 to Oct. 12.

The project will install a lining in the sewer main trunk line from Main Street to Meyers Road. The project is the final phase of an ongoing Sewer Trunk Line Rehabilitation project that started in 2006.

Construction cost for this phase of the project is $490,748. Insituform Technologies, LLC will perform the work.
