Alford “Hal” Moody died July 7, 2018, at the age of 58.

He was born Oct. 12, 1959, in Kingston, Texas, and lived in Wilkeson for 24 years. He retired from Federal Express as a mechanic, was a member of the DNC and an animal advocate.

He is survived by his father James D. Moody (Elizabeth A.) of Memphis, Tennessee; sister Karla McQuade (Shawn) of Gainesville, Georgia; brother Dave Moody of Houston, Texas; stepsisters Dr. Julie Gard-Schnuelle (Archie) of Auburn, Alabama, and Dolores Justus (Jay) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and stepbrother Dr. Tim Gard (Lisa) of Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his sister Dr. JoJo Korzep in 2006.
