Helen Anne Adams

Former area resident Helen Anne (Morgan) Adams died of congestive heart failure on July 5, 2014. She was 89.

She was born Nov. 5, 1924, in Kent, Wash. She graduated from Kent High School in 1943, studied at the University of Washington and married Albert J. Adams on Dec. 20, 1946, in Port Orchard, Wash. She worked as a Tupperware manager for many years and after retiring, she moved from Sumner to Buckley; she spent winters in Yuma, Ariz., eventually moved to Issaquah and most recently lived in Ferndale, Wash. She loved to sew quilts, knit slippers, bake pies, grow dahlias, crochet pot holders and make sequined Christmas stockings. She liked to play cards and golf, go bowling and spend time with her family.

She is survived by son Robert Adams and wife Beverly of Sammamish, Wash.; daughters Joanne Roth and husband Alan of Vancouver, Wash., Colleen Wilson and husband Rocky of Ferndale, and Jeanne Lematta and husband Steve of Anchorage, Alaska; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son James and husband Albert.

A private internment will be followed by a church service at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H St. N.E., Auburn, Wash. 98002.
