James Herbert Forler, 85, of Enumclaw died Jan. 8, 2017.

James Herbert Forler, 85, of Enumclaw died Jan. 8, 2017.

He was born June 9, 1931, in Seattle to Herbert and Mary Ann Forler. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired after 23 years serving as the business manager for the Enumclaw School District. He enjoyed traveling to Palm Springs with family and friends.

He is survived by son Greg Forler and two daughters, Jody (John) Clough and Mary (Roberto) Alicea, all of Enumclaw; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Gail Forler Aug. 17, 2014, and sister Rosanne Burnett.

A rosary took place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw and was followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. He was buried at Evergreen Memorial Park next to his wife.
