Janice Arlene (Rosen) Stolz, 73, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2017 after battling cancer. Born in Seattle on October 19, 1943, she moved to Enumclaw with her family in 1958. She graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1961, and was married to Roland Stolz in 1964. Janice was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother to their two children, Karen and Brian.
Devoted to the service of others, Janice was a faithful supporter of missions both locally and worldwide. As a member of Northwest Bible Church, she was treasurer of the Women’s Connection, organized a sandwich ministry for Enumclaw Youth & Family Services, taught Bible study and helped lead worship services for residents of High Point Village, served in nursery and children’s church, was a dedicated 14 year volunteer for Vacation Bible School, served meals at the Tacoma Rescue Mission, and served on the missions committee. She also gave to her community by teaching drivers’ refresher courses to seniors.
The hobbies she enjoyed most were Bible study, watercolor painting, gardening, and entertaining family and friends. Janice loved talking with anyone and no one was a stranger to her for long.
Janice is survived by her husband, Roland Stolz; son Brian (Doris) Stolz of Seattle; son-in-law Tony Angeline of Puyallup; sisters Joyce Pecht of Puyallup and Julie (Dave) Hammond of Buckley; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Garrett and Eva Rosen, and daughter Karen Angeline.
