Joan Reinke Bertsch died April 2, 2017, at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. She was 64.

A 35-year resident of this area, she was born March 5, 1953, in Hankinson, N.D. She retired following a long career as a medical technologist. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Black Diamond who enjoyed her career, her family and her faith.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years Mike Bertsch and sisters Carol Haurland and Jeanie Jackobsen.

A service is planned for 2:45 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Tahoma National Cemetery.
