Longtime Enumclaw resident Richard Buchwitz, 83, died Jan. 27, 2011.

He was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Goodrich, N.D., the seventh of 13 children born to Jacob and Rosina (Delzer) Buchwitz. He was a member of the Moose Lodge since 1967. He retired from Boeing, enjoyed gardening, traveling with his wife Odelia in their motor home and camping with the Roadrunners Club.

He is survived by wife Odelia Buchwitz of Enumclaw and children Jeffrey Buchwitz of Buckley, Melody Bischoff and husband Frank of Eatonville and Leon Buchwitz of Las Cruces, N.M.

A memorial service is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Enumclaw Moose Lodge.
