Sandy Ellis (Pohlot) Hartjoy died March 31, 2011, at the age of 66.

She was born March 11, 1945, in Tacoma, and lived 55 years in this area. She worked as a bookkeeper and provided home care for others.

She enjoyed gardening, reading books and spending time with her grandchildren, including, Jossalyn, who helped care for her. She especially enjoyed visiting with all her friends and family on the telephone. Her special enjoyment was caring for others.

Survivors include son Jeff Hartjoy and wife Cathy of Enumclaw; daughters Tracie Gibbs and husband Wes of Newberg, Ore., and Sara Hartjoy and fianceé Jeff Greene of Enumclaw; sister Glenna Morris and husband Doug of Graham, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Glenn and Lillian Ellis.

A service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley. A reception will follow, also at the funeral home.
