Buckley resident Victoria “Vicky” Bentley died June 13, 2014, at the age of 71.

She was born July 19, 1942, in Wallgrass, Maine, and married Jack Bentley on April 8, 1959, in Orlando, Fla. She retired from the Washington Soldier’s Home in Orting after 30-plus years of service. She loved animals and photography, and had received more than 250 ribbons for crochet work she had entered in fairs.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Bentley, or Buckley; son David Bentley and wife Cynthia of Carbonado; daughters Dolletta Bentley of Carbonado and Qunia Bentley of Buckley; brother Joe Parson and wife Florence of South Carolina; sisters Gayle Ryan of Summerville, S.C., and Blanche Gatewood of Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
