Buckley resident Woody Woodhead died May 13, 2017 in Tacoma. He was 72.

He was born, Jan. 23, 1945, in Bremerton, Wash., to the late Tony and Hope Woodhead. Woody married Dixee on Feb. 12, 1994, in Kent, Wash. He loved his animals, but especially his family. He could fix anything and was an incredible painter and artist who loved to build. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

He is survived by wife Dixee of Buckley; daughters Lisa Sillence of North-gate, Tracie Hunt (Eric) of Federal Way and Charla Travis (Larry) of Buckley; son Andy Woodhead (Melinda) of Federal Way; sisters Becky Anderson (David) of Spokane, Pat Paasch (Sam) of Clarkston, Wash., and Jan Cutshall (Gary) of Wenatchee, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Melody Durham in 2016.

A memorial service is planned for noon Saturday, June 3, at Mount Rainier Christian Center in Enumclaw.
