WRHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Fagan’s second-place tops for Lady Hornets

White River High’s Dylan Fagan earned the Lady Hornets’ top finish, second place, at the Dec. 29 South Puget Sound League girls wrestling tournament at Franklin Pierce.

White River High’s Dylan Fagan earned the Lady Hornets’ top finish, second place, at the Dec. 29 South Puget Sound League girls wrestling tournament at Franklin Pierce.

Emerald Ridge’s Dani Andrews pinned Fagan for the 152-pound crown. Hornet teammate Kylie Norton was fifth at the same weight.

Hornet Jesslyn Blue picked up a third-place finish at 140 pounds. The Hornets also earned fifth-place finishes from Madison Franklin, 125, and Kamy Padgett, 171-plus. Kalyn Gulin placed sixth at 119.

The team walked away with a fifth-place finish out of the 15 SPSL 2A and 3A teams in attendance. Emerald Ridge won the tournament.

The Lady Hornets return to league action Thursday at home with Washington. Action begins at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday the team travels to Kelso for tournament competition.
