WRHS TENNIS: Hornets crush Clover Park twice

For the second time this season, White River High’s boys tennis team topped Clover Park in league competition. The Hornets put away the Warriors 4-1 Friday.

Michael Barron and Tanner Williams won their singles matches 7-6, 8-6 (7-5) and 6-3, 6-2, respectively.

In doubles play, Thomas McCarragher and Noah Geehan won 6-1, 6-4, while Speyer and Albright won 6-2, 6-2.

White River, 3-1 in league play, defeated Franklin Pierce, 3-2, Sept. 13.

Jason Tyler and Justin Gaull won 7-6 (7-4), 6-1. Geehan and McCarragher lost the first set 6-2 then won two straight 6-4, 6-3 for the Hornets’ second victory of the contest.
