Toy Drop

Published 12:45 pm Thursday, December 11, 2008

Third-grade students in Kim Patrick and Kris Hughes' Kibler Elementary classes dropped off a load of toys at the Enumclaw Police Station for its holiday drive Friday morning. The classes raised more than $950 earlier in the year at its craft fair and then went shopping at the Bonney Lake Fred Meyer Thursday morning. Fred Meyer helped the students stretch their dollars by giving a 20 percent discount. The police department anticipates helping more than 500 families this season. Toys are still needed for children, specifically between the ages of 10 and 15. The deadline to drop toys at the police station is today, Wednesday, but toys are collected year-round and stored for the following holiday season.
