Panthers prep for league meet

Bonney Lake High faced off against Enumclaw Jan. 20 and lost 112-71 to the Hornets, claiming three first-place finishes.

Scott Milburn won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 17.10 seconds, Jordan Crockett took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.40 and the BLHS “A” relay was tops in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.96.

In the 200 individual medley, Andrew Allen finished sixth in 2:49.72 and in the 50 freestyle Crocket earned a time of 24.45 to place second.

In the 100 butterfly, John Gangl and Cale Snider earned times of 1:13.47 and 1:11.62, respectively, placing fourth and fifth.

Jeff Bowie finished the 100 backstroke in 1:20.29 and Tanner McMurtray finished in 1:24, taking third and fourth place.

Bonney Lake swimmers have completed the regular season. Next on the schedule is a subdistrict meet Friday and Saturday, the final opportunity to qualify for districts for those who have not already done so.
