Olsen’s birdies cap Lee tourney victory

Led by 91-year-old Dick Olsen’s two birdie putts, he, along with Mary Josie and her pair of great putts, Larry Weygandt and Don Schnoor won Thursday’s Lee golf tournament with a 2-under par at the Enumclaw Golf Course.

Three teams tied for second place at 1-under.

Linda Ross sank a birdie putt on Hole 1 to get her team, which included Ed Feris, Dave Werong and Pat Storm, started.

Jamie Wagner’s putt on the final hole put John Hiffman, Betty French and Flo Miller at 1-under.

And Dave Boyorich said a team effort was key to his team’s 1-under finish. He was joined by Linda Hiffman, Jan Holt and Wanda Wilde.
