BLHS GOLF: Lady Panthers win big

Tracy Hare and Megan Charron each shot a 54 as the Panthers defeated White River 47-35 in South Puget Sound League 3A play Sept. 22 at High Cedars Golf Course in Orting.
The two shared medalist honors.
Anna Babbitt was one stroke behind with a 55, followed by Courtney Bartlett at 56, Ali Ronnfeldt with a 60 and Kellesy Bledson at 67.
Caitlyn Miller led White River with a 58.
In boys action, the Hornets downed Bonney Lake 50-41.
Nick Bendon and Charlie Erhardt led the Panthers, Bendon with a 46 and Erhardt a 47.
Against North Thurston in nonleague action Thursday at Hawks Prairie Country Club, the boys fell to the Rams, 231-241.
North Thurston’s’s Ben Reece and Colton Campbell were medalists with a 4-over par 40.
Brian Duckett led the Panthers with a 42, including a pair of birdies. Bendon finished with a 45.
“Our players had not seen the course but a couple of them played pretty good,” coach JD Rushton said. There was no girls match against North Thurston. Bonney Lake will host Lakes Thursday and play at Peninsula Friday.
