COUNTY: Holiday closures announced

Offices of Pierce County government will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27-28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition, the Planning and Land Services Department (PALS) will close its development center for the day on Wednesday, Nov. 26, due to an employee furlough. The closure is the eighth in a series of nine one-day closures spread through the year due to budget constraints. The closures are timed around historically low customer volume days and holidays. The Development Center is located in the Pierce County Annex, 2401 S. 35th St., Tacoma. Other county services in the annex will be available Nov. 25.
