BLHS BOYS BASKETBALL: Panthers bow out of postseason early

The Bonney Lake Panthers’ first appearance in boys subdistrict basketball action ended on their home court Saturday.

Renton escaped with a 52-51 thriller in a winner-to-district, loser-out game over Bonney Lake.

Bonney Lake matched the Indians point-for-point in each period except the second when Renton outscored the Panthers 14-13. Three players scored in double figures for the Indians.

Chad Marquez led the Panthers with 19 points and Nate Braun added 18.

Bonney Lake finished the season 8-12.
