While Bonney Lake’s Tracy Hare is preparing for the Class 3A state golf tournament, she is waiting to see if teammates Megan Charron and Courtney Bartlett will be making it a Panther threesome.

Hare was one of the top nine players from the West Central District’s state-qualifying tournament in October. Charron and Barlett are scheduled to take to the fairways at Eagle Pride Golf Course at Joint Base McChord-Lewis Monday and Tuesday to play for the final 14 spots to the state tournament. The state tournament is scheduled for May 25 and 26 at Horn Rapids Golf Club in Richland, Wash.

Sumner’s Danielle Durham and Rebecca Turcotte also earned a tee time at the state spring qualifier. Spartan teammate Karleigh Warner could possibly qualify, she was a second alternate in the fall.

On the boys’ side, Sumner’s Brandon Barlow will return to Eagle’s Pride Monday and Tuesday to see if he can earn a spot at the state tournament.

Eleven boys qualified in the fall and 17 male finishers have a chance to make the field.

The boys play state the same weekend at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.
