The Plateau is about to be inundated with the holiday spirit, as organizers put the finishing touches on a variety of special events, all taking place Dec. 4.
The day starts with Enumclaw’s annual Magical Morning, planned for 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Enumclaw Expo Center fieldhouse. As usual, there will be a catered breakfast, entertainment, fun for kids and a visit by Santa.
Later in the day, Enumclaw’s downtown adopts a “Whoville” theme with the Chamber of Commerce leading the way. An assortment of events will lead up to the traditional holiday parade, slated for 6 p.m., followed by a candle walk ceremony.
Buckley’s Christmas Tree auction, raffle and dance begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Buckley Eagles. Tickets are $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door. Proceeds are used for city beautification efforts. Tickets are on sale at the chamber office, from various chamber members or by calling Barb Gagner at 253-592-1429.
The annual Christmas tree lighting in Black Diamond begins at 6:30 p.m. The local fire department will give Santa a ride to the Black Diamond Community Center.
